A Short History of Rebreu

John Reid and Jim Abreu opened Rebreu Body & Frame in 1978.  Already experienced in restoring special-interest cars, John and Jim decided to join forces to repair collision damaged cars when they became aware of how very, very bad most collision repair work really was.  Then as now, the collision repair industry had a poor reputation.  The prevailing wisdom was that once a car had been wrecked, it would never be the same — and this was unfortunately often the case.  John and Jim were determined to change that, certain that good work could be consistently done, and at a fair price.  The ensuing 32 years have proved them right.  For over a quarter century they have been repairing cars and providing outstanding customer service in Austin, Texas.

Lifetime Warranty

Rebreu will repair any defects in our work as listed on the repair invoice for as long as you own your vehicle, unless caused by unreasonable use or lack of maintenance.  Please contact us for more details on this warranty.

Rental Cars

Rental Cars are available at our shop when you are ready to leave your car for repair — and for added convenience you may leave the rental with us when your car is completed.

Certified Technicians & Estimators

Our technicians and estimators are trained and certified by I-CAR, the repair industry’s leading training program.  In addition, our ASE Certified Master Mechanic does all mechanical work.

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)

We can remove small dents in metal panels without the need for paint, reducing the cost of the repairs substantially.  This approach is most commonly used to repair hail damage and small parking lot dents.  Click here for a description of PDR.

One Day Service

Some minor repairs can be completed in one business day.  Drop your car off in the morning and pick it up that same afternoon (for qualifying repairs).  Let us review your claim and see if this speedy service would work for you!

Expert Paint and Color Matching

Factory finishes are expertly matched using a state-of-the-art climate-controlled paint booth and a computerized color-matching program.  
The baked-on finish restores your vehicle to like-new condition, using Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes premium urethane enamel refinishing system.  The paint we use is the same kind car makers use.

Frame and Unibody Alignment

Rebreu uses two Car-O-Liner computerized measuring systems to straighten unibody damage to factory specifications.

Wheel Alignment

Rebreu uses our own Hunter computerized equipment to assure you of accurate wheel alignment.  Unlike most body shops, we do not sublet this important part of the repair to a third party.

Detail Service

Rebreu washes and vacuums your car at no charge to you or your insurance company.
